Admiral Yacht Insurance was launched in 1991 when its Boat Insurance Policy was created. Managing Director Robert Holbrook, who was previously a partner in a firm of London Insurance Brokers and a keen yachtsman himself, recognised the need for flexible yacht insurance that met the needs of both sailing yacht and motor yacht owners.
We specialise in sailing yacht insurance and motor boat insurance for boats based in the UK, Northern European waters, the Mediterranean, South East Asia and the Caribbean as well as bluewater cruisers undertaking long distance voyages. Our long-term involvement with the World Cruising Club has given us a wealth of knowledge and experience for insuring ocean crossings.
Admiral Yacht Insurance is underwritten by Lloyd’s (Munich Re Syndicate). Lloyd’s enjoys strong financial security supported by excellent ratings.
